The Board of Directors of First Steps Early Education Center thanks the Parents, Families, Teachers and Staff for your support and patience during this time of transition at our school. Always the childrenâs education, health, safety, and fun are our first priority.
The Board, with the help of our Interim Program Director, Michelle Millman, are maintaining our License to operate with the New York State Office of Child and Family Services. We are working with Onteora Central Schools continuing our Universal Pre-K program and are submitting our Bid for next yearâs Pre-K program.
The Board and the Interim Program Director meet monthly with the Staff for planning and development.
The Board of Directors is actively recruiting and interviewing candidates for our Program Director position. Several qualified candidates have applied. We welcome input from the Parents, Teachers, and Staff of First Steps regarding the qualities you appreciate in a Program Director.
Your continued patience is appreciated as the Board and Staff are in training with the new ELV system for registration, invoicing, attendance, payroll, and email. If you have any questions regarding your childâs registration, or tuition please email the office directly: [email protected]
A grateful âThank Youâ to the several Parents who helped erect the fallen wooden play structure. The unexpected truck with a winch, made the job easy! The wooden play structure has been inspected for damage, new parts are to be ordered and we expect to have it ready for play this Spring. The rest of the Outdoor Playground, except for the compromised structure is now open for the children to enjoy.
We invite more parental involvement with the Board and the School. We look forward to the creation of a Parent support team for input, activities, and enhancements to the childrenâs experience at First Steps, and to foster relationships that will endure for your childâs whole educational journey.
